A small family business with a love of yarn

Woodland Yarns & Patterns is a small family-run online business based in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

We offer a carefully catalogued selection of knitting and crochet yarns, including discontinued, limited and hard-to-find shades. Our wider collection also includes vintage knitting patterns gathered over many years.

We are continuing to catalogue our stock, with more brands, yarn ranges and shades being added regularly.

Carefully catalogued stock

Many of our yarns are older discontinued lines that are no longer widely available. Although quantities can be limited, every ball offered for sale is new and unused.

We photograph and record our stock ourselves, including shade numbers, dye lots, fibre composition, ball weight and length wherever that information is available. When several balls of the same shade are ordered, we supply them from the dye lot shown on the product page.

All orders are prepared and dispatched from the UK. We aim to describe every product clearly and accurately so that customers can buy with confidence.
